The National Youth Agency (NYA) is pleased to announce that Youth Work Week 2014 will be held from 3 – 9 November.
It is a very difficult time to be young. The recession has hit young people particularly hard, with youth unemployment hovering just below a million and not showing much response to the green shoots of recovery.
The Hub is managed by NYA and is run by a small team (The Hubbles) it’s made possible by O2 with support from Telefonica foundation. We are the new arrival to what is now known as Tech City. 16 Hoxton Square is now a perky people place!
The awarding organisations of England and Wales are working with the the National Youth Agency and ETS Wales to review the qualifications for Level 2 and Level 3 Youth Work in Practice.

New government data shows that the number of young people aged 16-18 years old and not in education, employment or training is the lowest for 20 years. These reductions are really welcome and hopefully it’s a trend that will continue.
