NYA awarded National Lottery Funding for COVID-19 Project

National Youth Agency are pleased to receive almost £300,000 in support from The National Lottery Community Fund to run the Routes to Success project

The National Lottery Community Fund’s COVID-19 emergency funding has awarded the Routes to Success project almost £300,000 to spend over the next six months to support the delivery of activities designed to support communities through the COVID-19 crisis. Young people have been severely impacted by the pandemic and lockdown and Youth Workers are faced with supporting them to navigate a range of challenges.

The funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK, will enable the Routes to Success project to deliver:

  • Valuable youth work training and practice development skills to Youth Workers to help them support young people more effectively.
  • Open access podcasts for Youth Workers featuring subject matter experts in the youth work sector
  • Development tools and dedicated support to help support organisations in the youth work sector to adapt to the extra challenges of delivering during a global pandemic
  • Bespoke support to help youth work organisations to more effectively manage risk when delivering during lock down

The project will run for at least 6 months, further details are to be announced soon.
