SUMMARY:Standing Together in Solidarity: Reflection & Collective Care sessions
DESCRIPTION:Recent demonstrations and rhetoric linked to far right groups\, since 2024\, have been deeply distressing for many in our communities. Across the country\, we have heard from youth workers\, volunteers\, and organisations about the impact on young people\, on those who support them\, and on the spaces where young people gather and grow.  \n\n\n\nAs national youth organisations\, we stand together in visible solidarity against racism\, Islamophobia\, and all forms of divisive rhetoric. We know these issues cut deeply into questions of identity and belonging – for young people\, for communities\, and for everyone working in the youth sector.  \n\n\n\nWe have listened and we have heard. In response\, we are currently taking these actions:  \n\n\n\n\nCreating spaces of solidarity and connection:  NYA\, UK Youth and network of RYWU will host the first convening sessions for the sector\, offering a space to share\, connect\, and support one another. \n\n\n\nMaking space for youth sector voices to be heard: ensuring the experiences of youth workers\, volunteers and organisations are recognised by a wide range of audiences\, helping shape the wider conversation. \n\n\n\nSupporting what already exists: this convening builds on the powerful local\, regional\, and national work already happening. We see this as a collective effort: these three organisations are stepping forward to coordinate the first session\, but it belongs to the whole sector\, and we warmly welcome all partners to shape and contribute to what comes next. \n\n\n\nSharing and signposting resources to strengthen local responses\, including practical tools for organisations\, youth workers and volunteers. \n\n\n\nAmplifying anti-oppressive practice: calling people in\, not shutting them out\, and supporting the difficult but vital conversations that help communities grow stronger. \n\n\n\n\nUK Youth\, The National Youth Agency\, the Network of Regional Youth Work Units and the Muslim Youth Alliance are planning further Standing Together in Solidarity: Reflection & Collective Care sessions. \n\n\n\nThe next session is at 10am on Friday 3rd July.

SUMMARY:Enrichment Entitlement and Benchmarks: New Opportunities for the Youth Sector
DESCRIPTION:The Department for Education’s new Enrichment Benchmarks\, published in June 2026\, mark a significant shift in how schools and colleges will approach enrichment from September 2026 onwards. \n\n\n\nFor youth sector organisations\, this presents a major opportunity. As education settings look to expand and strengthen their enrichment offer\, youth organisations are well placed to bring expertise\, trusted relationships\, and high-quality opportunities that help young people thrive. \n\n\n\nJoin this webinar to explore what the Enrichment Entitlement and Benchmarks mean in practice\, how they may influence local priorities and partnerships\, and where the youth sector can play a leading role. \n\n\n\nYou’ll hear from organisations already working successfully with schools and colleges\, gain insights into how strong partnerships have been developed\, and have the opportunity to discuss the opportunities and challenges emerging in your own area. Together\, we’ll explore how the youth sector can help shape local enrichment ecosystems and ensure more young people benefit from meaningful enrichment opportunities. \n\n\n\nIn this session\, we’ll cover: \n\n\n\n\nA practical overview of the Enrichment Entitlement and Benchmarks\, and why they matter for youth sector organisations.\n\n\n\nCase studies showcasing successful partnerships between schools\, colleges and youth organisations\, including how these relationships were established and sustained.\n\n\n\nFacilitated discussions on the opportunities\, challenges and gaps participants are seeing in their local communities.\n\n\n\nTime to reflect on your organisation’s potential role in local enrichment provision and identify priorities and next steps for the next 12–18 months.
