SUMMARY:Youth Work Insight: Exploring the impact and value of disabled people in youth work
DESCRIPTION:We invite youth workers\, organisations\, leaders\, managers\, and policy makers to a dynamic online panel discussion to explore. \n\n\n\nThis 90 minute facilitated webinar will feature youth workers\, ambassadors and sector specialists with lived experience voices\, offering insights into their experiences as part of a diverse youth work workforce. \n\n\n\nIncluding disabled youth workers is essential for creating inclusive and empowering environments. For young disabled people\, representation is more than symbolic—it advances belonging\, confidence\, and aspiration. Seeing disabled adults in professional roles challenges stereotypes and demonstrates that success and leadership are achievable for everyone. This representation helps break down feelings of isolation\, normalises disability\, and promotes equality. \n\n\n\nThis webinar will: \n\n\n\n\nExplore the role of disabled people and their impact on young people’s lives  \n\n\n\nDiscuss the youth work journey \n\n\n\nChallenge the stereotypes and misconceptions about disability in the workplace  \n\n\n\nDiscuss the support and accommodations that enable youth workers thrive\n\n\n\n\nFor this session we will be joined by these panellists: \n\n\n\n\nChristopher Greenhalgh\n\n\n\nLorraine Lambert\n\n\n\nSammey Ahemd\n\n\n\nHenry Hughes\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur Panellists:

SUMMARY:Youth Work Week Youth Work Insight - Agency\, Identity and Belonging – Neuro-Affirming Youth Work in Action
DESCRIPTION:Join us this Youth Work Week for an empowering Youth Work Insight session exploring inclusive and affirming youth work practices for neurodivergent young people. \n\n\n\nThis 90-minute facilitated webinar will feature sector specialists and the voice of those with lived-experience\, offering insights into how youth work can be radically inclusive\, responsive and empowering. \n\n\n\nThe session will unpack the concept of neurodivergence as a form of diversity rather than deficit\, challenge stereotypes and stigma and explore how youth work can support young people with or without a formal diagnosis. Attendees will gain practical strategies to make their youth practice more accessible\, drawing upon the lived experiences of the expert panel. We’ll also address the mental health challenges neurodivergent young people face\, often due to social exclusion\, misunderstanding\, and lack of support\, and highlight the importance of trauma-informed\, neuro-affirmative approaches. \n\n\n\nAttendees will have the opportunity to engage in live Q&A\, hear personal stories and receive follow-up resource. \n\n\nOur Panellists:\n\n\nWe are excited to announce our panel of experts for this session: \n\n\n\n\nChelsea Renehan – Sheffield City Council’s Community Youth Services\n\n\n\nHelena Rodgers – Ambitious about Autism\, a national charity supporting autistic children and young people.\n\n\n\nJess Thom – Play/youth worker\, artist\, comedian\, Tourettes Hero\n\n\n\nTalisha ‘Tee Cee’ Cree – Presenter\, filmmaker and writer
