SUMMARY:Risk Assessments for the youth sector - December 2026
DESCRIPTION:This course brings risk assessments to life\, highlighting why they are so much more important than a ‘tick-box exercise’. \n\n\n\nThis one-day course is designed for managers and other employees within youth work organisations who are responsible for writing risk assessments or approving those of colleagues or external providers. \n\n\n\nDelivered by NYA’s risk management partners\, Pharos Response; the crisis management experts who know only too well what happens when risks aren’t managed effectively. \n\n\n\nDesigned for youth workers and/or managers who are responsible for either writing risk assessments or approving those written by colleagues or perhaps external providers you work with. \n\n\n\nDelivered in a highly engaging manner\, packed full of interactive exercises and scenario-based activities that fully complement the resources on the NYA Safeguarding and Risk Management Hub \n\n\n\nAttendees will gain confidence in writing risk assessments\, learn how to avoid common mistakes and know what to look for in the risk assessments of other organisations. The ultimate aim is of course to make programmes safer but also to better protect the organisation if something does go wrong. \n\n\n\nDelegates will receive a certificate on completion.
