NYA is delighted to announce that the new Level 6 Degree Youth Work Apprenticeship has been approved and will be launching soon.  NYA led the Trailblazer group, chaired by Carol Stone, working with training providers, youth workers, local authorities and the voluntary sector to write and develop this new Level 6 Degree Youth Work Apprenticeship standard.  This new qualification will continue building the infrastructure of the Youth Work workforce, creating new routes into the profession, and developing a new pool of qualified candidates who will continue to grow and evolve youth services.  The qualification enables organisations to further develop their workforce, alongside creating much needed opportunities for young people to be involved in youth work.

Kevin Jones, Head of Workforce & Professional Practice at NYA commented,
