Volunteering for Employees

NYA has a track record of brokering extensive employee engagement opportunities across the UK.

We source a range of exciting opportunities from simple employment/work skills  to longer term one-to-one mentoring, digital engagement or larger team projects.

Examples of employee engagement opportunities include financial awareness workshops for young people delivered in schools discussing budgeting, loans, payslips and goal setting.

We also identify young people who could benefit from employee engagement too – for example enterprise sessions for young people aged 14-18 on business skills, self employment, project management.

Volunteer training

NYA provides volunteer training for employees.  Our training modules include health and safety, risk management, working with voluntary organisations and young people, applying for the process and measuring and recording outcomes.

We also offer in depth face to face training for those who would like to improve engagement skills with young people whilst gaining an accredited qualification.

In 2015 NYA sourced volunteering opportunities for over 2,700 employees from our local delivery partners; opportunities that have helped tens of thousands of young people.

It gave me an insight into the struggles young people face in finding employment and I took satisfaction in helping them perform to the best of their ability in an interview situation
