Tiger joined the NatWest Thrive programme as one of the young participants on the pilot scheme.
He took part in NatWest Thrive sessions at his local youth club and got involved in opportunities offered as part of the programme. Joining the youth leadership group, he went on to become a Rising Star in the NatWest Thrive marketing campaign on TikTok, even meeting the King and Queen Consort on their visit to a youth club, to share his experience on the programme!
As part of the YLG, Tiger was invited to NatWest’s head office with his youth worker Felicha, to be involved in a Careers Day – an opportunity for young people to learn skills in interview techniques, explore career paths and have the chance to talk to a host of NatWest staff from different departments and backgrounds, to hear about their career journeys.
Using the skills and confidence gained throughout the programme Tiger was inspired to apply for an apprenticeship position as a financial advisor with NatWest. He was accepted and has since started his placement.
Tiger said “I firmly believe that the skills I have acquired through my experience with NatWest Thrive will serve as invaluable assets throughout my entire career, particularly as I embark on my journey in the finance sector. These skills will play a pivotal role in shaping my professional growth and success.”
