Meet our Youth Consultants
The group consists of young people aged 16 – 25 with diverse lived experience, skills and perspectives. How we support the NYA
First and foremost, we aim, as a group of young people from across England, to ensure that the voices of our peers are heard and are central to everything that the National Youth Agency does (as the national body for Youth Work). We are committed to championing the NYA and support innovate strategies for better youth practice for key stake holders of youth work which are young people.
We support the delivery of the NYA’s youth participation strategy by working as a team to check the relevance of the NYA’s work to make sure it is supportive of youth voices, and representative of all young people, everywhere! We do this by listening to young people and allowing them to directly contribute to the policies that affect them, making sure that their voices are heard in everything we do.
As Youth Consultants, our main aim is to make sure that young people feel empowered to do the things that benefit them, and making sure they have access to information to make informed decisions about the things that affect them!
