Youth Work Qualifications
(Levels 4 – 7)

Are you are interested in seeking validation of a professional youth work degree or the youth worker degree apprenticeship? The NYA validates degrees at Level 6 and Level 7.

Professional Youth Worker degrees

Youth workers build voluntary, trusted relationships with young people, away from many of the other pressures they may be facing in their lives. They usually work with young people aged between 13 and 19 but may support young people from 11 to 13 and young adults up to the age of 25 depending on their needs.

People who have achieved a professional level qualification have been through a robust learning programme which at its heart is the interaction of theory and practice. Graduates from such programmes have the knowledge, skills, and experience to practice as professional youth and community workers in a range of contemporary settings.

Benefits of a validated degree
