This comprehensive course explores the unique safeguarding needs of disabled young people, emphasising their rights and the importance of their inclusion in various youth work settings.

“Disabled young people have specific risks and vulnerabilities to abuse that are important to understand, as it’s not always easy to spot the signs of abuse.

This eLearning course has been co-created by experts from the Council for Disabled Children, whose vision is a society in which disabled children and young people’s rights are respected and their aspirations are supported. You will learn how to identify safeguarding concerns, understand the rights of disabled young people and find out about inclusive safeguarding strategies.”

– Bianca Karpf,
