Welcome to our Safeguarding Standards Self-Audit Tool, designed to help organisations reflect on and assess their current safeguarding practices in line with the NYA Safeguarding Standards.
Before using the tool, we strongly recommend you read through the NYA Safeguarding Standards. This guidance document outlines best practice across the sector and provides a helpful framework to understand what good safeguarding looks like in different organisational contexts.
This tool will help you identify where your organisation currently stands — whether you’re working towards compliance, building a safeguarding culture, or embedding a culture of safeguarding excellence (“Culture Plus”).
At the end of the process, the tool will generate an action plan to help you move to the next stage — whether that is from non-compliance to compliance, compliance to culture, culture to culture plus, or maintaining your position if you’re already in culture plus.
