Youth Work Week: Youth Work Connect – Unlocking Potential: Youth Work Supporting Young People into Education Training and Employment

Join us this Youth Work Week for this joint Youth Work Connect session delivered in partnership with Youth Employment UK.

Youth work is uniquely placed to support young people facing barriers to education, training and employment. This online community of practice session invites youth workers and allied sector practitioners to explore how informal education, trusted relationships, and community-based support can help build young people’s skills, confidence and readiness for education, training or work. 

During this 90-minute session we will:

• Identify key barriers that prevent young people from accessing education, employment and training
• Share effective youth work practices that build confidence, skills and aspirations in young people
• Share practical tools and services to support young people on their journeys

For this session we are delighted to be joined by Youth Employment UK CEO, Laura-Jane Rawlings MBE, as we explore the barriers and consequences young people face in accessing education, employment and training.
