Youth Work Insight – Exploring What Matters: Identity, Belonging and Spirituality in Youth Work

5 November @ 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm

Who am I? Where do I belong? What matters to me? These are important questions for young people as they develop their identity, values, beliefs, sense of purpose and hope.

Join this engaging webinar to explore how youth workers can create safe, inclusive and youth-led spaces for conversations about identity, belonging, purpose, hope and spirituality in faith-based settings and beyond.

An exciting panel will bring together perspectives from youth work, faith and spirituality, music, creativity and digital culture. Together, we will explore how young people make meaning through culture, relationships, creativity, digital communities, heritage, spirituality and social action.

The session will offer practical insights into welcoming different identities, beliefs and worldviews, encouraging reflection and critical thinking, and supporting young people’s exploration without directing them towards particular answers.

In this session, you will:

  • Explore how identity, belonging, purpose, values and hope shape young people’s lives.
  • Consider how youth culture, faith, creativity and community can support connection and exploration.
  • Strengthen your confidence in facilitating safe conversations about beliefs, values and life experiences.
  • Identify inclusive approaches that enable young people from all backgrounds to participate as themselves.

This webinar is for youth workers, volunteers, leaders and others who support young people across faith and non-faith contexts. Come ready to reflect, share and take away practical ideas for supporting young people to explore the questions that matter most to them.

We are pleased to be joined at this Youth Work Insight by special guest facilitator…
