The Quality Mark is a reflective tool which enables organisations to develop a culture of learning and growth.
Refreshing the Quality Mark
In the new version of the NYA Quality Mark we have taken the National Occupational Standards for youth work as the starting point to develop the standards and indicators within this quality framework. The standards and indicators are designed primarily as a free self-assessment tool to be used by youth work organisations to assess and reflect on the quality and impact of the work they undertake.
There are three levels for organisations to consider their practice against, providing different access points and a clear progression framework to meet the needs of all organisations no matter their size and shape. These three levels are Foundation, Advanced and Outstanding.
The NYA Quality Mark can also be used to gain external validation and recognition through the NYA Quality Mark Award process. Through our digital application process, organisations can submit evidence and be assessed to the Foundation Level of the award. When this is achieved certification will be issued and the organisation’s name added to the records of those who have been successful in achieving the award.
The Quality Mark documents
To understand more about the Quality Mark please take a look through the following documents. Please note: These documents are under review. The NYA no longer assesses the Quality Mark to Advanced and Outstanding levels. The indicators at these levels are for self-assessment alone.
